A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I:
- am a qualified psychotherapist, specialising in:
• CBT & REBT after realizing their anchoring in rationality, having a focus on setting and meeting goals thus enabling clients to move ahead in life, and
• Mindfulness, having experienced its benefits personally and for clients in calming and resting our nervous system
- became a psychotherapist due to a deep desire to give back to people, and help them unblock their problems, fulfil dreams, achieve goals and create joy
- am a married father of two independent adults and have, as several clients have stated experienced much in life. I draw upon this, where helpful, to provide practical and pragmatic ways forward for clients
- have a deep insight into working life and all its challenges. This is after 35 years in complex roles at many companies, with diverse people of all backgrounds. Tips on how to survive and thrive at work are also shared where beneficial
- hold a degree in biochemistry which helps understand and explain the science of becoming psychologically disturbed and undisturbed. And, importantly, how to prevent it happening.
Professional credentials:
- a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and
- an Accredited Member of The National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS)
- for both bodies I fully subscribe to their code of ethics. This includes being supervised and undergoing professional development.
